Worried about a mole?

shutterstock_177572051Moles are a normal feature of skin and almost everyone has some of them. The more time you spend in the sun, especially as a child, the more likely you are to have moles.

Most moles are absolutely nothing to worry about and you should not be unduly concerned, even if you have a lot of them. However, we do advise people with many moles to have regular mole screening to detect any changes as early as possible.

As dermatologists, we appreciate that some people worry about their moles when they have no cause to, while others ignore problem moles that could potentially turn cancerous if left untreated. Our aim is to provide a comprehensive service to all our patients, to provide peace of mind.

If you have a mole that has changed recently, is sore, inflamed, oozing or bleeding, or just looks or feels different you need to have it investigated sooner rather than later. It may just be catching on clothing and need simple removal, or it could be a sign that that mole is becoming cancerous.

Understanding your moles

We offer a range of services, including mole screening clinics, that aim to not only check your moles, but also to educate and inform you about how to keep an eye on moles sensibly.

Family friendly

Our mole services extend to the whole family, young and old, so that everyone can have the peace of mind of knowing that their moles are ok and there is expert help at hand if anything does go wrong.

Our experienced team are sensitive to the needs of all age groups, especially when it comes to exposing their skin for examination. We work hard to put your mind at rest and make mole monitoring an easy and relaxed process.
